Community Showcase and Volunteer Fair
NUI Galway is pleased to invite you to the Volunteering & Community Opportunities Fair 2010 to be held Wednesday the 29th of September. We would be delighted if you could attend this year to promote your organisation, recruit volunteers, promote the voluntary sector as a career path and inform both students and staff of your activities. The Fair is a collaborative effort between NUI Galway’s Student Services and the Community Knowledge Initiative (CKI). The aims of the Fair include: recruitment of volunteers for projects within the University; recruitment of volunteers for projects with local or national organisations; and recruitment of volunteers for projects with international organisations.
The Fair will commence at 1:00pm till 5:00pm in the Bailey Allen Hall, Áras na Mac Léinn, NUI Galway. In the past, students and staff have indicated that it is beneficial if organisations have literature relating to the organisation and if members of the organisation remain present at the stands throughout the Fair. A drop-off point is available for organisations attending the Fair, outside Áras na Mac Léinn. Please see map indicating the drop-off point and entrance to the Fair. Parking is available in the Pay and Display areas only. Please note that Pay and Display parking is often full by 9.00am.
A Booklet will be compiled for the event, please give us a brief description of your organisation in the space provided on the booking form for inclusion. This booklet will be distributed at the Fair and throughout the year.

Organisations that are unable to attend the Fair are invited to mail information to the CKI regarding their work to be showcased at the event.
